Mickey Mouse Heads and Live Birds Both Popped Up on Gucci's Runway

Trust us when we say that Gucci's Spring 2019 fashion show — which took place at the Théâtre Le Palace in Paris on Monday — had a little something for everyone. Much like Dior's ballet-inspired event, there was an artistic element to it: the whole thing started out with a freaky, horror-like film that played on a big screen, and the show paused midway through while Jane Birkin performed a song. There were wing-like creations, including poufy sleeves and feathers, lots of metallic and jewel tones, sequin details, sparkly fringe (both in the form of accessories and dresses), Mickey Mouse-head bags, and even a bird that rested on the shoulder of a model. All in all, was it kind of bizarre? Yes . . . in the best way possible. And there were still a few classic designs to balance it all out, too.

Somewhere in the mix of the crowns and very large sunglasses, you'll be able to spot striped items, sweater vests, tailored suits, and collared shirts. We're also digging that sweet strawberry-print and big Gucci logo backpack, and we're sure there will be more than a few fans of that pink faux-fur coat and those wide-brim hats. Keep scrolling to see both the menswear and womenswear that Alessandro Michele sent down the runway. No matter what your style, we're betting you'll find at least one thing you'll want.
