Louis Vuitton's New Collection Is Very Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century

The future is finally here — at least according to Louis Vuitton, which showed its Spring 2019 collection in Paris on Tuesday. Under the direction of Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquiere, the iconic fashion house put forth a mix of designs that included voluminous, galactic sleeves, shiny silver embellishments, and mesh details. In other words, we totally flashed back (or forward?) to Disney Channel's Zenon: Girl of the 21st century, especially once we spotted items that came in bright pink and blue.

Yet, as much as space seemed like the main inspiration for these looks, it was also impossible not to notice the Memphis Group-like graphics (aka a design that was ever-y-where in the '80s and '90s) that decorated some key pieces. So, all in all, it was future-meets-throwback-meets-modern, and we're pretty excited to see it how the collection will be styled in everyday life. If the LV fan-filled audience is any indication (Alicia Vikander, Sophie Turner, and Nina Dobrev were all in attendance), we won't have to wait too long.
