I'm Crowning This the Perfect "Sneaker Dress," and I'm Wearing It Nonstop

When it comes to adding pieces to my closet, there's one variable that's routinely at play . . . a question I regularly ask myself before purchasing: can I wear sneakers with this? And not in a lazy sort of way that might indicate that I've completely given up; it's gotta be something I like. Something I might, say, want to take a picture in.

The search certainly extends to dresses, where the sky is the limit when it comes to hemlines. Maxi, midi, knee-length, and mini all work with sneakers (IMO). So when I spotted this POPSUGAR at Kohl's Flounce-Hem Mini Dress ($24, originally $60) that hit just above the knees but still had a whimsical hem with tons of movement, I knew I'd hit sartorial gold. "Can this be worn with sneakers?" got a big fat check mark.

One of my favorite things about this dress is the way it moves so freely at the legs. It's not constricting in the least but still very feminine.

Just look at the hemline move.

Another fun detail I quickly fell for is the trim on the neckline and sleeves. It gives this very feminine fabric a sporty touch, which is what gives me tons of permission to wear it with sneakers.

And did I mention it's super comfortable?
