Kate Middleton Makes the Case For the Skirt Suit For the Second Time This Year

The Duchess of Cambridge is definitely on a mission to bring the skirt suit back for 2019. After stepping out in a vibrant Oscar de la Renta set back in January, on Wednesday, she debuted a new tweed two-piece in the same silhouette, with a fitted jacket and flippy, knee-length skirt. She paired her chic suit with black tights, Tod's shoes, Kiki McDonough earrings, and a black suede Mulberry clutch bag.

Kate wore the outfit to attend the Mental Health In Education conference at Mercers' Hall in London. It's the first of two royal engagements for the duchess: in the evening, she is set to attend a gala dinner at the Victoria and Albert museum, where she will no doubt pull out all the stops with a glamorous evening look, just as her sister-in-law Meghan Markle did the night before. While we wait to see what she has planned later in the day, take a closer look at Kate's latest look ahead.
