Cardi B Came in Hot in a Fiery Red Peacock Gown Worthy of the Met Gala's Theme

OK, everyone at the 2019 Met Gala needs to move over right now. No, seriously, Cardi B took the theme "Camp: Notes on Fashion" (aka, be as extra as possible) to the extreme, and her dress takes up the entire pink carpet. She went from rapper to vintage peacock goddess in a custom, wine-red Thom Browne gown with a 10-foot train that rippled out behind her and had to be carried by multiple full-grown men. Someone sure knows how to make an entrance!

Cardi's gown was hand-embroidered with 30,000 dyed coque feathers and a full-coverage headpiece codesigned by Browne and Stephen Jones. The sequin heart cut-out on the back of the dress and the carefully placed ruby nipples on the front of the gown make the entire look feel like a sexy red shrug made for the goddess of love herself.

"I designed this dress for Cardi specifically because she has the ultimate beauty in a woman's body, and that is what the dress is about for me: taking advantage of that beauty," Browne told Vogue. Not only did Cardi's dress accentuate all of her best features, but it definitely put the "red" in red carpet this year.
