We're about to say something you might have mixed feelings about: flip-flops are definitively coming back — in heel form. After of-the-moment brands like Reformation and Cult Gaia released takes on the throwback trend, also referred to as thong heels, Kim Kardashian solidified its comeback by stepping out in the same pair of Yeezy flip-flop heels on numerous occasions this June.

Kim's particular pair is interesting because they're actually wedges, however, the translucent wedge offers the illusion of a stiletto heel. In one instance, Kim wore the shoes with high-waisted Balenciaga pants and a revealing Yeezy bodysuit. She wore them again more recently with the same bodysuit and a snakeskin-print wrap skirt by Kwaidan Editions.

Flip-flop heels are fairly polarizing. Apart from their association with the '00s, they famously clack as you walk, and the stiff strap can cause blisters in uncomfortable places. On the other hand, the minimal silhouette pairs easily with outfits. Still on the fence? We don't blame you! See how Kim styled the summery shoe trend ahead, and, if you're so inclined, shop similar pairs.
