You Probably Have Plenty of Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year Already Hanging in Your Closet

Pantone is going back to basics for its 2020 Color of the Year. After previously picking the vibrant Living Coral in 2019 and Ultraviolet the year before that, the company has decided that Classic Blue will represent the forthcoming year. A shade lighter than navy but darker than sky blue, the color is a timeless choice meant to embody stability and simplicity.

"We are living in a time that requires trust and faith," said Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman in a press statement. She added, "Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. "A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking."
