For the Coldest Days
It might seem self-explanatory, but your heaviest outerwear pieces should be reserved for days that are truly freezing. We're talking below 32 degrees . . . and beyond. These styles include insulated (and maybe faux fur-lined) Parkas ($30 and up) and Down Puffers ($30 and up) — preferably thigh-to-knee length to keep you extra bundled up. Although you're free to slip into these on warmer days, you might overheat quickly, especially if you're doing a lot of walking or commuting on a city subway.
