Outfit Obsession: Emma Roberts's Whimsical Indoor Easter Outfit

There I was on Easter, sitting in the car scrolling through Instagram, when Emma Roberts's gorgeous pink outfit popped up. It was definitely quite the surprise when a lot of other celebrities were posting throwback "bunny" editorial shoots or images taken on the holiday in 2019, just to lighten the mood. I was on the way home from a drive out to the beach — my future husband and I decided to practice social distancing by taking a short walk along the New Jersey shoreline. It felt like a special way to celebrate the day. I had intentionally wrapped a bright yellow silk scarf around my head before we left, just to bring a little more color into our day and perhaps channel an Easter palette as best as I could.

Seeing Emma standing inside taking a mirror selfie in her Gary Baseman x Coach chiffon midi dress somehow made me feel connected to her. Emma and I didn't really have anywhere to go, but we got dressed for ourselves to feel good on a holiday we usually celebrate out and about, at gatherings with family and friends. Emma went so far as to accessorize her outfit with metallic magenta By Far shoes, keeping the rest of her look minimal. Her dress was so perfect for Easter, it's possible she added it to her wardrobe months ago in anticipation of the holiday. Emma's ensemble brought a smile to my face because it was just so fanciful and effortless — I don't know about you, but these are the type of dresses I've been dreaming about lately, and they're exactly what I want to slip into the first chance I get this spring.
