The story behind the rings: Aydian bought Jenilee a vintage-inspired engagement ring that inspired him to spontaneously propose on the beach after a meaningful day of painting their new bedroom. It was the same style she had once put on a vision board, and she said yes right away. Soon after, Aydian confessed his need for a diamond as well, so they were sure to include one in his wedding band. The couple's wedding story was documented on MTV-Logo's "It Gets Better" special, where the couple came out to family and friends as a trans and cis couple through the airing of the show.
