Kenzo Just Gave Your Vans a Tropical Makeover For the Summer

If, in the coming weeks, you start to see these floral Vans pop up on your Instagram feed, here's why: Kenzo has collaborated with the skate brand on a full capsule collection, which includes 46 ready-to-wear pieces, including bucket hats, hoodies, sweats, and tees, along with a limited-edition art skateboard deck, for which 100 percent of profits go to Jamaica's Freedom Skatepark, a project that empowers at-risk youth.

Of course, we're largely focused on the sneakers here, and they are, without a doubt, the most prized possessions from this line, which marks Kenzo Creative Director Felipe Oliveira Baptista's first collaboration for the fashion house. Vans and Kenzo have transformed the classic Old-Skool sneaker and Sk8-Hi with a vibrant tropical-inspired print, and it's the same look that extends to the rest of the streetwear in the range. The pattern was actually taken from Kenzo's archives, giving this footwear a subtle vintage twist.

The campaign images you see ahead were all shot by Ari Marcopoulos in LA, focusing on a group of seven real skaters and friends outfitted in the new collab. Read through to check out the photo series, then shop the sneakers online at Kenzo.com.
