In Heavy Rotation: Donni's 2-Tone Cardigan-and-Shorts Set Is a Real Mood-Booster

Donni has a cult following in the fashion world for a good reason. The brand creates essentials that look put-together yet look comfortable as heck to wear, and I wanted to put one of their cozy sets to the test. It seemed like every time the brand dropped a new collection, the pieces would sell out instantly. (Case in point: the brand's waffle shorts and shirt set!) The second I laid my eyes on the brand's two-tone version of its constantly sold-out set, I knew I had to give it a try. I chose the orange and pink colorway to switch things up since I often stick to neutrals.

Right of the bat, I could tell by just looking at it that the set would feel like I'm wearing a hug. (I was right!) The set came in a super soft brushed hacci material, which is actually wrinkle resistant. I think the appeal of this Donni set is because it felt like I wasn't reaching for yet another sweatsuit, which I don't mind but I need a change. I loved that the set was both luxurious and unique with its soft fabrics and elevated accents like pearl buttons. (The brand even created matching scrunchies — how cute is that?!) The boxer silhouette of the shorts have a laid-back feel to them, and it felt like I was wearing pajamas that I could acutally wear outside without feeling embarassed. Plus, it photographed so well with its bright colors. Another win! To call out the pearl button accents more, I styled the outfit with a pearl chain necklace and gold hoops by Arms of Eve.
