Chrissy Metz Knew Where to Go For a Sexy, Comfortable LBD: "We Embrace Designers That Are Size Inclusive"

"Nothing feels better than putting on the perfect little black dress!" Chrissy Metz's stylist for the 2021 Critics' Choice Awards, Hayley Atkin said of the This Is Us star's Badgley Mischka look, which is comfortable and sexy all at once. "We really wanted her to look and feel elegant and chic, while not being afraid to show a little skin and have a little fun. It's such a great time to feel your best in the clothes you wear and celebrate getting dressed up again," she told me.

Chrissy and Hayley, who also count size inclusive brands Christian Siriano, Tanya Taylor, Coyan, and Eloquii as go-tos for events, had just a few weeks to confirm an outfit for the ceremony once Metz found out she'd be attending. Atkin said they were mindful of the fact that many fashion houses do not have the funds to create custom at the moment and they felt sure about Badgley Mischka's design sensibility.

"It's very important for us to champion designers who are size inclusive. We only work with designers who are excited to work with us! We always keep our integrity with who we work with and make sure we do our part to participate in an ethical fashion and red carpet industry," she said.
