Fashion Week always brings out the best street style moments of the season. Sure the catwalks dictate future trends, but the streets show us how to style the garments we already own.

Coming out of lockdown, street style went in a totally new direction for the Fall 2022 season. Even as we all set aside our loungewear and filled our social calendars, comfort was still king, as seen through a series of relaxed yet elevated silhouettes.

Eager to return to event dressing, some show-goers embraced bold, eye-catching color, in everything from sweaters to accessories. Others continued to prioritize practicality and comfort, placing their bets on neutral wardrobe staples.

Among the dressy set, statement outerwear emerged as a major trend for winter, and equally important are the shoes show-goers wore to brave the cold. Two-tone boots signaled that high heels are once again the style du jour. But attendees also opted for functional low-heeled styles, proving that quarantine's comfortable shoe trend is here to stay.

With recognizable designer items — from Chanel's quilted lambskin bag to Balenciaga's Hourglass style — accessories were also worth noting. Show goers even embraced standout headwear this season, including a bright orange fuzzy bucket hat packed with personality.

Three POPSUGAR editors (Editor-in-Chief Sade Strehlke, Fashion Director Jessica Andrews and Associate Fashion Editor Shelcy Joseph) joined in on the fashion fun, stepping out for various shows in the season's most recognizable trends. Often embracing color and sometimes sticking to a neutral palette, each outfit felt contemporary, effortless, and wearable.

Florals may not immediately come to mind for winter outfits, but they can certainly enliven them. Pair your floral print with darker neutrals to make it feel cold weather-appropriate.
