Zara shoppers are swarming stores in search of a particular dress. Not unlike the off-the-shoulder chambray dress that was inescapable in 2017, a pink satin slip dress has emerged as a standout item of the season following success on TikTok. Priced at $60, the number features a low-cut neckline, midi hemline, and cutout at the back.
The dress was first made popular by Marina Rough of the account @inchargeofoutfits, who modeled the dress in a Feb. 26 TikTok upload with the caption, "This is your sign to get the perfect pink dress." Since her original post, Rough shared several other try-ons, and her most popular one currently has nearly 600,000 views.
While many are praising the dress for its flattering silhouette, it might be better suited for shoppers with smaller busts. "Now don't get me wrong, I was feeling myself in that dress, however, my only con is the low neckline," noted Amber Symone of @itsambersymone in her review. She added, "Overall the dress is absolutely stunning, but if you have a larger chest, I highly recommend trying it on before you purchase."
Pink is generally having a moment this season, and Valentino's fall 2022 collection, recently shown during Paris Fashion Week, consisted entirely of pink looks. The shade also made appearances in collections by Versace, Chanel, and Giambattista Valli. It's also popping up on the red carpet, with Ariana DeBose recently wearing a hot-pink Valentino gown to the SAG Awards.
Though Zara's viral dress is currently sold out online, a restock is likely in the works given its popularity. (It's also currently available in lilac.) In the meantime, it seems many are still having luck finding the dress in stores. See shoppers give it a whirl ahead.
