Aperol Spritz Recipe

Aperol Spritz: Orange Soda All Grown Up

Calling the Aperol Spritz — a classic Italian aperitif of Prosecco, Aperol, and sparkling water — the grown-up's answer to orange soda might be selling it a bit short, but it's an apt descriptor as it tastes not unlike a sophisticated spin on the childhood favorite. Aperol's main and most identifiable flavor is bitter orange, while Prosecco and sparkling water give the drink a fizzy lift. Combined, it's easy to drink, refreshing, and perfect for sipping as the sun sets on hazy Summer afternoons.

Aperol Spritz Recipe

Ingredients

  1. Ice
  2. Orange slice
  3. 3 parts Prosecco
  4. 2 parts Aperol
  5. 1 part sparkling water

Directions

  1. Add ice and a slice of orange to a glass. Pour in the Prosecco, then the Aperol, and finally the sparkling water. This order prevents the Aperol from settling at the bottom.
