Cuisinart Just Recalled a Ton of Food Processors — 8 Million, to Be Exact

Cuisinart just recalled a whopping eight million food processors for a very concerning reason. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the Cuisinart recall, stating that the product's "riveted blade can crack over time and small, metal pieces of the blade can break off into the processed food." This poses a serious risk for injury to consumers using the product. So far, the company has received 69 reports of consumers discovering small pieces of the blade in their food, with 30 reports of serious tooth and mouth injuries. Scary stuff, people.

To see if your food processor is one of the faulty products, check out the details on the 22 model numbers you should look out for. And if yours is part of the eight million affected items, Cuisinart advises immediately discarding the blade and contacting the company for a replacement. Before you dive head first into your holiday cooking, be sure to double check the bottom of your Cuisinart food processor to make sure you're in the clear.
