Starbucks Bottled Pumpkin Spice Latte Review
Is Starbucks's Bottled Pumpkin Spice Latte Frappuccino Worth the Hype?
![]()
For the first time ever, Starbucks's bottled Pumpkin Spice Latte will be available at a grocery store near you. Previously only sold at Starbucks stores and Costco, this chilled seasonal beverage is an even more convenient way to get your PSL fix. But how does it compare to the original Pumpkin Spice Latte?
Less Pumpkin Flavor
Since Starbucks started using real pumpkin in its lattes, the flavor is really prominent (in a good way). The bottled Frappuccino is less pumpkiny but heavier on the pumpkin pie spices, like cinnamon and nutmeg. Combined with Starbucks's chilled coffee and three types of milk (reduced-fat milk, skim milk, and cream), the spices blend really nicely.
Even Sweeter
It's no secret that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is a sugary drink, but the bottled version is even sweeter. Are you ready for this? One 13.7-ounce bottle has 46 grams of sugar — that's more than a can of Coke, which has 39. In comparison, a grande Pumpkin Spice Latte with whole milk has 50 grams of sugar. Some found the drink so sweet that "it tastes like Coffee Mate creamer," but others thought it tasted even better than the classic hot latte. If you appreciate a sweet boost in your morning coffee, you'll want to stock these in your fridge to avoid the Starbucks line every time a craving strikes.
