Are Toasted Coconut Oreos Worth Your Time?

We finally got our hands on Toasted Coconut Oreos. The limited-edition flavor consists of coconutty-vanilla cookies sandwiched around toasted coconut crème (and yes, there are real flakes of toasted coconut mixed into the filling).

Curious as ever, we ripped open the bag to try them for ourselves. Immediately, the room was filled with a powerful buttered popcorn scent. As for taste, we're a bit torn: some tasters thought they're a spot-on representation of coconut cake, and quite tasty at that. Others griped that they're too sweet to eat without a glass of milk — although, really, this is a minor concern, as all Oreos are better dipped in milk (fact!) — and that the fake butter aroma is reminiscent of a Buttered Popcorn Jelly Belly. In this case, we say try them yourself; your mileage may vary.
