Starbucks's Free Red-Cup Giveaway Is Back This Week

Starbucks is getting customers in the holiday spirit — with free swag, of course. On Nov. 17, those who order one of the coffee chain's handcrafted holiday or fall drinks, such as a Peppermint Mocha or Pumpkin Spice Latte, will receive a reusable red cup free of charge, while supplies last. The giveaway is available no matter how you order your favorite seasonal beverage, whether in a store, for pickup on the Starbucks app, or for home delivery.

Made with 50 percent recycled material, this year's collectible drinking vessel is bright red and decorated with white snowflake and starburst designs. The cup holds some money-saving power, as customers will receive a 10-cent discount on any order when they bring it to any US store, and Starbucks Rewards members who use the app will receive 25 bonus stars. This marks the fifth year Starbucks has organized the giveaway, which typically only lasts one day due to high demand.

The freebie announcement comes after a string of exciting releases from the coffeehouse. Earlier this month, Starbucks began offering its beloved holiday beverages once again, along with a new selection of paper holiday cups and more than 25 pieces of bling-tastic merchandise. The collection includes gold and fuchsia cold cups with a chrome finish (plus matching mini ornaments!), a shimmery silver cup covered in bubbles, and a mint-green tumbler that could double as a mirror, to name just a few standouts.

Starbucks Free Reusable Holiday Cup

Starbucks customers will receive a free reusable holiday cup when they order one of the following seasonal drinks: Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Hot Chocolate, Irish Cream Cold Brew. Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Mocha, Peppermint White Hot Chocolate, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, Toasted White Hot Chocolate, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, or White Hot Chocolate. The Starbucks Christmas Blend and Christmas Starbucks Reserve brewed coffees are exempt from the offer.

Starbucks Paper Holiday Cups

The Starbucks paper holiday cups for 2022 feature nods to gift wrapping, snowflakes, evergreen trees, and sparkles, with a red, mint-green, and white color scheme.
