Fixer Upper Break-In Leaves 2 Goats Dead
Two Goats Were Brutally Shot and Killed During a Break In on Chip and Joanna Gaines's Property
Chip and Joanna Gaines's farm looks like something out of a fairy tale on Fixer Upper, but the story turned ugly over the weekend when two of their goats were fatally shot. The Waco, TX, police believe that one or more people broke into the Magnolia Homes property between the night of Friday, June 17, and the morning of Saturday, June 18, and committed what they describes as "senseless" act.
The property, which contains the silos where Magnolia Market is located, was closed at the time the crime was committed, leaving the animals remains to be discovered by employees Saturday morning. Investigators are still looking for the perpetrators, and when they find them, charges could include animal cruelty.
Judging from Joanna's Instagram account, the couple was away in San Francisco over the weekend. They have yet to issue a statement, but we have no doubt the animal-lovers and their four children are heartbroken by this barbaric act. The goats have been a mainstay on both Chip's and Joanna's Instagram accounts, where they can be seen cuddling with the kids and frolicking on the property.
