"Another easy fix I feel like, especially if you’re buying a house and you don’t have a lot of money to spend, is changing out door hardware," Estee advises. Since knobs, knockers, and hinges are something homeowners and renters see every day, focusing on those small and often-forgotten details is really important. This applies to interior and exterior doors, as well as cabinets.

Add polish to your home by bringing in new, inexpensive accent pieces like frames, pillows, and throws. Estee believes in changing these accessories throughout the year, if so inclined. It's the "little things that really play into who you are and what you want people to see in your home" that make a big impression, she says.

Never underestimate the power of a statement mirror. “I’ll use antique mirrors, which to me is very Hollywood and glamorous,” Estee contends. She believes in adding gilt and shine to any room in the home, including the bathroom.

Natural elements like wood and stone are a key component of a quintessentially California and Hollywood look. "Natural elements always add a hip and airy vibe to any room," Estee says. Various woods, especially anything reclaimed, "make everything feel cozier and homier."
