Robin Wright Just Purchased a Penthouse Even Claire Underwood Would Love

House of Cards leading lady Robin Wright just plunked down $3.025 million on a spectacular apartment in the heart of NYC's West Village, according to 6sqft. The two-bedroom, one-bath penthouse was built in 1922 and recently underwent a tasteful renovation to bring it up to modern luxury standards. Eleven-foot-high ceilings, crown molding, and french doors that lead out onto a patio (that would incidentally be perfect for sharing a cigarette with Frank on) are just the start of the period charm that remains. Light streams through north-facing windows that will afford Robin views to the Empire State Building and beyond. An open floor plan kitchen is decorated with Carrara marble and loaded with top of the line appliances, such as Gaggenau and Sub-Zero. The master bedroom boasts expansive California closets and the bathroom spares no luxury, from radiant heated limestone floors to Rosa Aurora marble walls. The home was listed at $2.495 million in March, but Robin apparently thought it was worth nearly half a million more — and after seeing pictures of the penthouse, we have to agree. Check it out for yourself in the images ahead.
