10 Years Later, TLC's Trading Spaces Is Finally Making a Comeback!

TLC just made a surprising announcement that's sure to make home renovation diehards everywhere squeal with delight. In 2018, the TV network is reviving Trading Spaces, the show that spurred our home makeover obsession in the early 2000s. No, this is not a drill, people.

This exciting news came about during the Discovery Communications Upfront presentation on March 28, according to E! News. In case you forgot the principle of the show during its 10-year hiatus, we'll refresh your memory. Trading Spaces ran on TLC from 2000 to 2008, with neighbors swapping keys and redesigning a room in each other's houses with just $1,000 and a little help from interior designers. Let's just say the makeovers were . . . interesting, to say the least.

Many questions still remain about the iconic show's reboot, such as if the $1,000 budget will still be in effect and whether Paige Davis will return — pixie cut and all — to be the show's host. But while we wait for this and more details on the show's return, we'll try to keep our excitement as contained as possible in the meantime. Next year can't come soon enough!
