Shallow as it may seem, I've discovered that the more stylish and aesthetically pleasing my kitchen gadgets are, the more I'm excited to cook. Of course I favor products that are functional and designed to last, but if a toaster or frying pan is available in a fun colorway or design, I can't help but add it to my shopping cart. Perhaps that's why I've become such a fan of Our Place, the viral cookware brand known for its vibrant, TikTok-loved appliances that blend pretty designs with a practical flair. From the cult-favorite Always Pan to the editor-approved Wonder Oven, Our Place has churned out some of my favorite kitchen essentials to date — and its latest release is no exception.

In an effort to expand on its appliance inventory, the brand just debuted the Our Place Splendor Blender ($125), which boasts a high-powered 1,000-watt motor encompassed in Our Place's signature minimalist design. As it's hailed for being easy to clean and perfect for creating a variety of treats (from salsas to smoothies), I decided to try the brand's latest debut to see how it fares within my growing Our Place collection. What to Look For in a Blender

There are a couple things to consider when shopping out the best blender for your home. First and foremost, you'll want to think about the size. If you plan to blend larger items, you'll benefit from having a blender with a larger quart size that can hold more ingredients. Alternatively, if you're in the market for a space-saving option, a more compact model might be better suited for your home.

What I Like About the Our Place Splendor Blender

More than anything, I appreciate this blender's thoughtful functionality and the way that it's made with convenience in mind. From the product's high-powered motor, which can seamlessly blend ingredients, to its dishwasher-safe parts, which make cleanup easy, it's one of the most practical appliances I've ever owned. And it's made all the more appealing thanks to its stylish look and compact frame. I've been able to whip up so many different treats with ease in this blender. From a creamy strawberry-and-banana smoothie to a fresh (and spicy) salsa, the options are endless. The blender manages to liquify every ingredient thoroughly without any lingering chunks or dense pieces.

What's Worth Noting

While this blender is marketed as being self-cleaning, it does require a little extra scrubbing in some areas after use — particularly underneath the product's blades, where leftover liquids and food chunks can get stuck without thorough rinsing. Frankly, I don't think this is an indictment on the product or its functionality, as most blenders I've used have required similar upkeep in those harder-to-reach areas, but it is definitely worth noting.

Additionally, because of its high-powered motor, this blender is louder than most. I don't personally have a problem with this because I understand it's a result of having a strong and efficient motor, which makes the overall blending process more seamless. However, if you'd prefer something quieter or live in a household that might be disturbed by loud sounds in the early morning (particularly homes with young kiddos), it's something to keep in mind.
