How Jeremy Renner Pays the Bills Between Acting Gigs

Trulia takes us inside Jeremy Renner's Hollywood home.

When he's not defending his country in The Hurt Locker or robbing Fenway Park in The Town, Jeremy Renner loves to flip houses. With his friend/business partner Kristoffer Winters, the actor has flipped everything from a Nichols Canyon home in 2002 to a Hollywood residence resold for almost $1 million profit. Seeing as Jeremy recently split from his wife of half a minute, he probably has lots of extra time on his hands to let his DIY spirit fly. Source: Trulia and Getty / Jason Merritt

Case in point: Team Renner is hard at work on this 6,000-square-foot house in Hollywood that once belonged to legendary filmmaker Preston Sturges. They bought the home back in 2009 for $1.35 million, but just put it on the market for $4.79 million.

The roomy home nestled at the foothills of Runyon Canyon is super-private, with a lush front yard featuring a reflecting fountain and a covered front porch. The first floor of the home even has a "gentleman's room," the rumored site of Charlie Chaplin's first wedding. (Do you think it was a silent wedding?)

The upstairs master suite has a fireplace and French doors that lead up to a rooftop terrace offering beautiful views of Los Angeles — but if you don't call dibs on the master, you can lie back in one of the three guest suites, each of which comes with a private patio.

Renner has famously claimed that once upon a time, he made more money flipping houses than acting. He made big bank on this art deco-style Holmby Hills spread, which went for $24 million back in 2013.

With his Avengers sequel one of the most anticipated films of the summer, we're guessing he's not hurting for cash.
