The house at the end of this legendary horror film was always creepy, but it started out less decrepit. Built in the 17th century, this historic Maryland home, called the Griggs House, had its interiors removed by vandals in the 1980s and was condemned in the late '90s, but it was temporarily spared from demo by the movie's success. It was later torn down.
