This elegant version of the floating candles at Hogwarts was ridiculously easy to re-create. All it took was some fishing line from the hardware store and these glass candle holders and tealight candles from CB2.
Here's what you do:
- Place the unlit tealights in the candleholders.
- Loop the fishing line through the tops of the candle holders.
- Tie the other end to a chandelier above the dining table and secure it with a super tight double knot. To avoid an accident, have one person hold the candleholder to the desired height while another person ties the fishing line to the chandelier.
- Hang each one at varying heights so that you can see each candleholder at eye level.
- Light your tealights, and voilà!
