Arielle of Something Navy Gave Her Apartment a Makeover Just in Time For Baby

Everything fashion blogger Arielle Charnas does is steeped in style, so we couldn't wait to get a look inside her new apartment. The Something Navy blogger, her husband, and their adorable Cavalier King Charles moved into the modern Manhattan high rise this October, and they've recently completed decorating it – just in time for the arrival of their first baby! Arielle describes the space as having a, "modern, clean aesthetic with classic undertones," which her readers know is right on point with her polished fashion sense. While Arielle is a natural at putting together irresistible outfits, she admits that putting together a complete room was a new kind of challenge for her. "There's a ton more elements to take into consideration for it to all come together and, of course, harder to change if you're unhappy with the final look," she explains.

"I'm obsessed with my Mongolian fur chair in my living room. It's just a super special, unique piece that makes my living room pop," Arielle says of the statement seating piece.

Arielle's bedroom epitomizes simple glamour. The clean color palette, mirrored furniture, and faux fur accents are perfection.

Arielle says her biggest challenge was, "knowing what I wanted the rooms to look like but also
balancing practicality and functionality." She seems to have found the perfect mix in the bedroom, where the eye-candy nightstand boasts ample storage space.

The cozy-chic apartment mixes big ticket items with more affordable ones and is filled with many Joss & Main finds. "I splurged at ABC Home, and I loved finding other pieces at Wayfair," Arielle admits.

The fashion blogger's personality comes through the strongest in her office. "It's super girly with my pink chairs and furry pillows," she explains of the warm and welcoming workspace.

Arielle had her little one in mind when decorating, especially when it came to picking upholstery colors. "As much as I would have loved a white couch, that was not happening with a new baby," she says.

This fashionista's shoe collection is something to behold. When we asked Arielle what her philosophy was for storing accessories, she — not surprisingly — told us, "Show them off instead of hiding them away in the closet!"

The bigger space will better accommodate Arielle's growing family — but moving meant she had more areas to furnish. She says this home makeover was, "more about filling in space and making it feel homey." We can wholeheartedly say she's succeeded!
