Tom Ford Just Outbid Beyoncé and Jay Z For This Epic Beverly Hills Mansion

Beyoncé might be on the top of the charts, but she and hubby Jay Z keep coming out on the bottom of the real-estate game. TMZ is reporting that the superstar couple just lost out on this epic Beverly Hills mansion to none other than fashion designer Tom Ford. They're said to have bid $49 million dollars while Tom bid a whopping $50 to cinch the deal. This is not the first time Beyoncé and Jay Z have lost out on a home. In late 2014, Minecraft creator Markus Persson outbid them for a $70 million over-the-top modern estate.

This time, the estate in question is a breathtaking 1930s-era home with nine bedrooms (including two maids' rooms and two rooms in the guest house) and 10 bathrooms spread out over 14,000 square feet of luxurious space. Past owners include the illustrious interior designer Kelly Wearstler, so you know this home is nothing short of breathtaking inside. Even the half-shell lintel of the front door oozes Old Hollywood glamour. The main house includes a screening room, a chef's kitchen, a gym, and design details such as dark wood floors, elegant crown moldings, and a dramatic layout designed for entertaining. An ivy-covered pool house sits in front of the elegant pool, and a tennis court resides nearby. A charming guest house is perfect for all the stylish visitors Tom Ford is bound to invite over.
