You Can Own the Famous Fixer Upper Barndominium Home

Calling all Fixer Upper fans: one of our favorite houses from the HGTV show is now available for sale! Who could forget when Chip and Joanna Gaines took on a barn in season three and transformed it into the beautiful barndominium that it is now? The owner just listed her 2,700-square-foot, five-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury home for a whopping $1.2 million with Sotheby's International Realty.

The spacious, yet cozy abode sits on 16 acres of pristine private land, and the new owner will be able to spend his or her days fishing on the 20-acre lake located alongside the stunning home. This isn't the first time HGTV fans have had the chance to live in the property. Last year it hit the market as a vacation rental property through VRBO, causing a mini uproar. While Chip and Joanna have clarified that they are not angry or surprised that former Fixer Upper stars are listing their beautifully renovated homes, they have since taken precautions to ensure this doesn't happen in future seasons.

In a statement issued on behalf of the couple, a Magnolia spokesperson told the Waco Tribune, "We have no problems with our clients' interest in using sites like VRBO and Airbnb to rent out their homes. In fact, we get it. But we are going to be more strict with our contracts involving 'Fixer Upper' clients moving forward. We want to honor our national viewing audience. We want to do remodels for clients' homes. That's the true intent of our show, and we want to ensure that does not get lost in this new vacation rental trend. What started off with perfectly understandable intentions could cast a shadow of a doubt on the much bigger picture, and we are going to do our best to protect that moving forward."

The Barndominium is almost identical to the way it appeared on season three, episode 11 of the show. Check out all the photos of the home.
