This DIY Book Staircase Is the Coolest Thing You'll See All Day

After three decades spent surrounded by books, librarian Bonnie Mendes wanted to express her love of reading in her home. She enlisted the help of her husband Jay to help her create a Pinterest-inspired book staircase in the couple's Massachusetts home. Jay started by heading to Lowe's for supplies and tips on how to remove the existing carpet from the stairs. Once that was done, he began painting and transforming their wooden staircase into a ascending stack of classic books, including classics like Little Women and Harry Potter, beloved by the couple and their now-grown children.
