Ellen Pompeo's Moroccan-Style Home Is So Beautiful, We Might Actually Need a Doctor

There are few people we'd be more excited to receive a dinner party invitation from than Ellen Pompeo, and that was before we even got a look at her 1930s-style Hollywood home. The Grey's Anatomy star recently invited Veranda magazine into her kitchen to demonstrate how she and her interior designer, Martyn Lawerence Bullard (who also worked with Kylie Jenner to decorate her fabulous Hollywood Hills mansion), throw the perfect Moroccan-inspired dinner party, and it's everything you would expect and more.

"I've always gravitated to Moroccan style," Ellen explained. "It's cozy and exotic and sexy. The pierced lights, the intricate tilework and patterns that each tell a story. I love how it instantly sets a mood." It makes sense, as Ellen loves to surround herself with colorful people as much as she loves colorful decor. "That's really what I'm after when I entertain," she said. "I love original spirits, people who bring life to the table." We have six words for you, Ellen: Choose us! Pick us! Love us!

The actress, who is one of Hollywood's highest-paid stars (she earns over $20 million a year), doesn't just rely on her good friend Martyn to do the work — she's got a great eye for detail herself. She even sets her table with only black and white colors, as a "metaphor for life," since "you get darkness but you get so much light." And her signature drink of choice? Apricot-mint cocktails, naturally (and she even shared the recipe just in time for Summer!). Keep reading to see more peeks inside Ellen's gorgeous home.
