I Truly Lost Count of How Many Couches Alicia Keys Has in Her Dreamy California Home

My new life goal is to one day own as many couches as Alicia Keys does. The singer and her husband of 11 years, Swizz Beatz, offered Architectural Digest a tour of their family's San Diego home, and it's hard to ignore the enviable amount of plush seating options that inhabit the nearly 11,000-square-foot space. Perched on a cliff in La Jolla, CA, the oceanside haven is a feat of architectural ingenuity, featuring sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows and a sculptural, futuristic exterior that often draws comparisons to Tony Stark's bachelor pad in the Iron Man movies. The modern mansion's interior, however, is homey as can be, with warm neutral tones, cozy materials, and plenty of thriving greenery.

Similar to their New Jersey home, Alicia's West Coast escape is positively flooded with artwork — more than 1,000 pieces collected over a 20-year span, to be exact — mostly including works by Black American and African artists. It's easy to see why the power couple have nicknamed it their personal "Dreamland." Watch Alicia and Swizz offer a peek inside their calming abode ahead, and keep reading for standout highlights from their tour video.
