I can't walk past Target's Threshold collection designed by Studio McGee without stopping "to look" and walking away with an affordable impulse purchase, like this $15 trophy vase. Lately though, I've gambled on a couple of higher-priced pieces that I've purchased online, like this rattan side table, and the quality has been remarkably steady. It's taken me a couple of years to find a full-length mirror that I really love (and can afford), but I tracked one down. The Wooden Arch Mirror ($230) from Target's Threshold collection designed by Studio McGee is exactly what I've been looking for.

What I Like About Target's Wooden Arch Mirror

She's substantial. At 72 inches tall and 32 inches wide, this mirror creates its own architectural moment, which is a big deal when you're working with orange peel-textured walls and low ceilings, but I digress. It's large enough to almost look like another doorway, which makes our bedroom seem infinitely larger and brighter. It weighs just over 40 pounds, so it looks and feels expensive.

I'm obsessed with the wooden frame. It's made from pine, so it's light and airy but you can still see the wood grain, which adds to its richness. The mirrored glass is also flawless, and I've come to learn that isn't always a guarantee. I recently purchased a more expensive mirror from another brand that arrived completely warped.

What's Worth Noting About Target's Wooden Arch Mirror

This mirror is meant to be leaned against the wall and comes with a tip kit for extra security. Personally, I love the casual look of leaning mirrors instead of hanging them — I even lean art on tabletops.

Also, I got this mirror in June, and since then, it's sold out twice almost immediately after being restocked. If you're seriously considering it, I'd recommend purchasing ASAP.

Who Is Target's Wooden Arch Mirror Best For?

Its minimal shape and medium wood tone make it a design chameleon, so it's great for all sorts of decorating styles. Arches are on trend, but you can also flip through the pages of any classic architectural book for proof that they also stand the test of time. So if you're a sucker for trends but also want to invest in a piece that won't look dated after several years, this is a solid design choice.
