Since you're only painting one wall of the nursery, one or two rolls of painter's tape, mini rollers, and foam brushes are all you need. Select a couple of complementary paint shades that look pretty together, or just go with one color for a really graphic look.

What makes this project beyond effortless is there's really no right or wrong way to create the design. No need for measuring — simply tear off a length of tape and smooth onto the wall. I started with three long strips that ran horizontally and then used smaller sections of tape to intersect the bigger shapes.

Once you're happy with the tape design, if you're going with a couple of paint colors, use the foam brushes to start mapping out where paints will be used. I opted for one main color and other shades as accents.

For really crisp lines, go over edges and corners with a foam paintbrush. This also lets you do any final touches as needed before letting the paint dry overnight. Yes, it's hard to wait that long to see the finished wall, but if you pull the tape away too early, you might peel paint away from the wall!

The next day, start slowly pulling away the tape, revealing a white strip between shapes. It's a really cool contrast from the pretty colors.

I couldn't believe how beautiful the finished wall looked! Then it was time to style it with everything baby would need, like wipes, baby lotion, books, and lots of soft touches.
