Jennifer Lopez on Motherhood: "I Almost Thought It Wasn't Going to Happen For Me"

During a recent interview with the Today show, Jennifer Lopez was overcome with emotion as she spoke about motherhood. After chatting with Savannah Guthrie about the upcoming season of Shades of Blue, Jennifer was asked about her twin children, Emme and Maximilian, and immediately replied, "Please don't make me cry!"

In the ensuing discussion, the singer opened up about her decision to have kids in her late 30s and the fear that it wouldn't be possible for her. Through tears, she said, "They just made my life so much better," adding, "You know, I didn't have kids until later and so I almost thought that it wasn't going to happen for me, so I'm very aware that I was blessed with that. It could have been something different. I don't take it for granted, one day."

In addition to that touching moment, Jennifer also answered some rapid-fire questions about what's next for her. When asked about her dream duet, Jennifer said she would love to collaborate with Bruno Mars. "I feel like we could have a good stage show. We're both real performers," she said.
