Do you have brown eyes and always stick to the same safe color palette? You're not alone. Break out of your comfort zone with a unique orange-and-purple combination that will truly make your eyes pop. Here's how to get it done.
1 Step 1
On a clean face, start with a translucent eye shadow primer like Touch Base For Eyes and fully cover the lids from lashline to browline.
2 Step 2
A warm orange is going to be your first unexpected color. This will be going on your crease. When applying, be sure to blend into the crease. Then, using a flat stippling brush, pack a warm brown shade onto the lids and a darker brown shade in the outer corners.
3 Step 3
Using Chubby Stick Shadow Tint For Eyes in purple as the second unexpected color, use it on the lower lash line for shading.
4 Step 4
Use Clinique Skinny Stick eyeliner on the upper lash and in the lower water line. Avoid drawing on a harsh line and instead wiggle it on and shade; this will help give a stronger color.
5 Step 5
Finish with Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara. Apply mascara to the bottom lashes first to avoid getting mascara on skin. For maximum volume, tease wand from the base up.
