Sofia Vergara Is the First Colombian Actress With a Walk of Fame Star

Sofia Vergara is having the craziest month — she landed the cover of Cosmo For Latinas, she attended the Met Gala in a gorgeous Marchesa gown, and she's been promoting her new movie Hot Pursuit with new BFF Reese Witherspoon nonstop, all while planning her wedding to fiancé Joe Manganiello. But Sofia's most exciting moment came on May 7, when she unveiled a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming the first Colombian actress to receive the honor — Shakira also has a star. Her Modern Family costars Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, and Eric Stonestreet were there to celebrate with her, as was Joe (whom Sofia forgot to mention in her acceptance speech); her son, Manolo; and more than a few family members, who traveled all the way from Colombia for the occasion.
