Thalia's Makeup at Premio Lo Nuestro 2016
The Affordable Way You Can Re-Create Thalia's Premio Lo Nuestro Makeup at Home
If you saw Thalia's stunning "Amarillo Azul"-inspired look at the 2016 Premio Lo Nuestro on Feb. 18, chances are, you're dying to re-create it at home. From rosy pink lips to superlong lashes, the Mexican-born superstar kept her shimmery makeup as fresh and natural as the real roses pinned to the side of her messy-yet-chic updo.
It really is an approachable look that could work on anyone, and her makeup artist, Claudia Betancur, filled us in on exactly how to achieve it — using only drugstore products.
To prep Thalia's skin, Claudia started with a good moisturizer to ensure a flawless makeup application. Once the skin was hydrated, she started on the eyes, using the L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude in 02 ($20) to create the subtle brown smoky eye we were lusting after while Thalia walked the red carpet. Simply swipe the lighter shade in the palette across the lid, then add the darker brown shade in the creases before blending it all out, and finishing with a thin line of liquid eyeliner and a few coats of elongating mascara.
On the skin, Claudia used True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation ($17), contouring and higlighting Thalia's cheekbones for some extra dimension and that naturally sculpted look. She then expertly filled in the singer's brows and finished with L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche La Lacque Lipcolour Stick in Lacque-y Charm ($10), a gorgeous pink lip color.
