We Almost Didn't Recognize Adriana Lima in This Met Gala Look

Adriana Lima's look at the 2015 Met Gala totally shocked us. It took a double take to realize this goth and dark-haired beauty was the Brazilian supermodel. Her Marc Jacobs dress and Maybelline New York makeup transformed the sweet Victoria's Secret Angel into a vixen. No news yet on whether the supermodel really got bangs or if it's all just an optical illusion or a trick created with some clip-on extensions, but we did get the scoop on how makeup artist Morgane Martini created those sultry eyes and bombshell lips.

Morgane's inspiration for Adriana's look came from "the iconic imagery of Helmut Newton," the fashion photographer well-known for his ultrasexy and provocative photos. After evening out the supermodel's skin tone with foundation and concealer, Morgane used a small angled brush to contour Adriana's cheeks with Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Glaze in Warm Nude ($10). To give her skin a glowy finish, she applied a touch of Face Studio Master Hi-Light in Nude ($10) down the bridge of her nose, on her cheekbones, and on her Cupid's bow. To create the dark smoky eyes, Morgane applied a light gray eye shadow all over the lid, and then a dark gray along the top and bottom lash lines. She finished by lining Adriana's eyes with Master Kajal in Onyx Rush ($8) and applying more than a few coats of a volumizing black mascara. For her bold burgundy lips, all you need is a steady hand and two coats of the Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick in Divine Wine ($7).
