PS: You're on Empire now. What’s the biggest lesson portraying Valentina has taught you?
BG: Learning how to disconnect from who you are and connecting with the character was the biggest lesson I learned. You have to think differently, feel differently, and even talk differently. I'm not Becky G when I'm acting, and it’s so much fun.
PS: What did you learn from acting that also translated into your tour?
BG: Patience with yourself is everything! You don't get it right on every take. Just like every show may not be amazing because it’s long hours and exhausting. The most important thing is simply trying your best.

BG: Life in general is what inspires me. I write music about anything and everything I feel, see, or hear. [The new album] is more pop leaning, with an urban and Latin twist.
