You've Never Heard a More Refreshing Take on Aging Than Cameron Diaz's

Cameron Diaz has been on a whirlwind press tour to support the release of The Longevity Book, her guide to graceful and healthy aging. The book, which is available as of this week, brought Cameron to The Women's Club of Ridgewood in New Jersey on Thursday night for an appearance and signing. For the special event, Cameron continued her streak of casually sophisticated looks, pairing a black blazer with a white top and distressed jeans. To add a final bit of polish, Cameron added a red lip.

While doing interviews to promote the publication, Cameron hasn't only talked about healthy living — she's opened up about her personal life with husband Benji Madden, too. Cameron's been unusually candid, sharing details about how she knew Benji was "the one" and details regarding their wedding day.

Thursday's itinerary also included a stop by The Rachael Ray Show. Cameron, a big fan of Rachael, shared a sweet photo on Instagram and referred to the TV host as "the biggest supporter and the brightest light around."

On the show, the women discussed generally accepted ideas about aging and how Cameron wants to change the notion of what middle age really is. Cameron is on a mission to reconceptualize the idea of a "midlife crisis" into a "midlife celebration."

"Just 150 years ago, women only lived to be 40," Cameron said. "Forty was not midlife — 40 was end of life. I think it's a privilege to grow older."
