"I started working with Royce even before I was signed with Warner [Music Latina], so that was maybe like three and a half years ago. We became good friends, and we started going to writing sessions together. I learned so much from the way he writes songs. We wanted to have a really pretty song together, but the ones we wrote were most of the time just for me. 'Your Voice,' for example, we wrote together, but it was just a song for me. It wasn't a duet.
"We had another session with Ambience and Taylor Parks, which are awesome, and we wrote this song, 'Solo Yo.' We actually wrote it in English. It's called 'Nobody but Me.' We wrote it and we were like, 'This is the one!' So it's funny because Royce and I wrote so many songs together, but the one we didn't write together was the one we picked as a duet.
"We wrote it in English, and then everyone loved the song. For me, it has always been an important song. I believe in it so much. I wrote it in Spanish. It took me a while, because it was so good, I didn't want to mess with the core of the song. I love this song and it's been fun, we got to perform it together last year, it was great."
