First dates usually cause a flustered, nervous flurry of thoughts beforehand. What do I wear? What if the conversation doesn't flow? What if I get something stuck in my teeth? Unfortunately, there's an additional thought that may come to mind when meeting someone completely new for the first time: What if I feel unsafe and need a way to get out of the situation?

One bar in England has the perfect answer to this last question, and it goes by the name of Angela. The poster above was placed in the women's bathroom of a bar in Lincolnshire to inform bar goers of a new way to get our of a potentially sticky situation. Simply asking the bartender for "Angela" will alert them that you're in need of help.

The poster reads: "Hi I'm Angela, Are you on a date that isn't working out? Do you feel like you're not in a safe situation? Is your Tinder or POF [Plenty of Fish] date not who they said they were on their profile? Does it all feel a bit weird? If you go to the bar and ask for 'Angela,' the bar staff will know you need help getting out of your situation and will call you a taxi or help you out discreetly — without too much fuss."

We're totally behind this genius idea, which is part of Lincolnshire's #NoMore campaign to increase awareness of sexual violence and abuse services. It's the perfect alternative to the tried-and-true "I forgot I have to do my laundry" or "I have a family emergency" excuses when you need to get out of an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe scenario. We're hoping this campaign picks up enough steam to make it over the pond.
