Meet the Real Couple Behind Disney on Ice's Cinderella and Prince Charming

Fairy tales do come true; we've got the couple to prove it. Tatjana Zaharjeva and Bonard Muck not only play Cinderella and Prince Charming in Disney on Ice's Let's Celebrate! show, but in reality they are also happily married. The pair met when Tatjana joined Disney on Ice as Cinderella; Bonard was performing as The Little Mermaid's Prince Eric at the time. Their connection was instant, and it wasn't long before they tied the knot. What makes their love story even better is when they started performing as prince and princess together just last year. Keep reading to learn what it's like to be married Disney ice-skating stars.

POPSUGAR: How did the two of you get to know each other?

Bonard Muck: We first met when Tatjana joined the show as Cinderella. We are with people from the show who are from all different parts of the world. We have a unique opportunity to travel, so when we found time to hang out together at first, we would plan things as a big group, like going to an amusement park together.

Tatjana Zaharjeva: Yeah and we would go on little dates, getting to know each other. When you work with each other a lot, you see all the sides of that person right away.

PS: When did you two realize you were in love?

TZ: For me, it happened at first sight. I had a feeling right away.

BM: When we were working on the show, and it was actually instant for me too.

PS: How did the proposal go down?

TZ: We are always on the stage and performing, so we kept the moment private, and I really like that.

BM: We were beginning our European tour and we just arrived in Serbia. I had arrived just before her. She had come into my hotel room after she arrived and I proposed.

TZ: I really didn't expect it. I just sat down and I cried. And he was like, "You didn't say anything!" I just had to soak it in.

PS: How did you announce your wedding?

BM: When we sent out our save the date to guests, it had a picture of Prince Eric and Cinderella. It said, "On this day we will create our own fairy tale."

PS: What was it like to plan a wedding with your busy schedules?

BM: It was kind of a whirlwind. We were in Chile for our show so we planned our wedding over the Internet and got married in Canada — I'm from Eastern Canada.

TZ: It happened in August 2013. Our wedding was just like Cinderella's ball; it was beautiful.

PS: What other Disney love stories do you enjoy?

BM: One story we really love that isn't in the show is Tangled. We like it so much we had the theme song playing at our wedding. It played in the ceremony when we signed our legal papers.

PS: What does a typical day off look like for you two?

TZ: Yesterday I got a massage, and that was really nice.

BM: A day off is usually relaxing. We will just chill out and rest our bodies. Sometimes we will go to a coffee shop and bring a book. Unless we are in a city we really love or a city we want to explore.

PS: Is it ever hard to work together?

TZ: I l really like it. We travel together, we spend a lot of time together. Some people wonder how you can do it 24/7, but it's actually really great. You just have to keep the work and the relationship separate.

PS: Has Disney taught you anything about relationships?

BM: Without being too cliché, it's possible for everyone to have a happy ending.

TZ: It's simple for me. Love can cover everything, it's all you need.
