Guy Drops Engagement Ring During Yankee Stadium Proposal
YIKES! This Guy Had a Major Fail While Proposing to His Girlfriend at a Yankees Game
Andrew probably envisioned his supercute proposal going smoothly at Yankee Stadium, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all. He and his girlfriend, Heather, were enjoying a Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox game — in adorable matching Yankee jerseys, by the way — when he planned to pop the question on the Jumbotron. But in the process, he dropped the ring and the defeated look on his face while he and other fans scrambled to look for it was instead projected onto the screen.
When Andrew told Heather to look up at the screen, the ring fell out as soon as he opened the box. "Everyone around us was so nice and helping us," he told stadium host Gary Hamilton. During the whole mess, Andrew said, he thought "it would be the biggest fail in history" if they were unable to recover it. Luckily, the ring ended up getting caught by the cuff of her jeans.
