After watching this interview clip of Helen Mirren in 1975, you'll have even more respect and admiration for the actress. In it, she's sitting down with British talk show host Michael Parkinson, whose sexist questions will make you cringe. The focus of the interview is on her sex appeal and figure rather than her talent, and clearly she is not being taken seriously.

When asked whether her "physical attributes" get in the way of her becoming a successful actress, Mirren fired back. "Because serious actresses can't have big bosoms, is that what you mean?" To which Parkinson replied, "Well, I think they might sort of detract from the performance, if you know what I mean."

Visibly annoyed with his response, she continued to school him with grace. "I would hope that the performance, and the play, and the living relationship between all the people on the stage and all the people in the audience overcome such boring questions." Mic drop.

It didn't stop there. While discussing the moment she first realized she wanted to be an actress, some of the audience laughed when she mentioned the role she played was the Virgin Mary. Puzzled, she asked, "Why did they laugh? I don't understand."

Although watching the clip above will frustrate you, it's totally worth seeing Mirren handle herself like a total pro.
