Hot Air Balloon Proposal Fails, but Not How You Would Think

The Californian couple in this video can definitely say that their engagement story was truly unforgettable. Eric Barretto was in the process of proposing to his now-fianceé as the sun set over the ocean, when the hot air balloon they were in was blown over the water. The pilot couldn't get it back to shore, but luckily bystanders were able to reel in the three occupants with a line thrown to the beach — but not without surfing a few waves in the basket first. Though no one was hurt, we have a feeling these two plan on getting married with their feet planted firmly on the ground.
