This Sweet At-Home Engagement Shoot Will Make You Completely Melt

Some of the best engagement shoots are ones that focus purely on the couple without the extra bells and whistles. Grace and Jon decided to capture their engagement at their home, resulting in beautifully authentic photos. The couple was hesitant to do a shoot because they weren't sure if the extra effort was worth adding onto the stressful wedding planning.

"The more I thought about it though, the more I realized that I really wanted to have photos that captured this time in our life; being engaged, living in San Francisco, sharing our first home together — all of those things are so special and so fleeting and I wanted to do my best to slow down and capture our life the way it is right now," Grace said.

After much love and attention to detail, their apartment had become the perfect reflection of both of their styles, interests, and memories, making it their favorite place to be together.

"There are framed Fillmore posters from decades of concert-going, artwork from our travels, quirky collections, lots of plants, numerous art projects, and many original photographs," Grace said. "Also worth noting, Jon proposed to me in our living room on a perfect, quiet night before we left on vacation."

Their photographer Meghan Mehan was able to make their cherished Sunday afternoons into sweet and real snapshots that they can always look back on.
